The Better Clear Bra

Waiting for my 06 G35 Coupe 6MT to come in. So, I'm shopping around for a good clear bra. Only Infiniti dealer in our area offers RoadBlock for $699. Never heard of RoadBlock. Another installer is 1 and a half hours away and they install VentureShield. Heard that VentureShield is good but is it worth the drive? Any comments? Thanks in advance.

I got the name brand: 3M. Be careful what you get.... some of these films yellow over time. Get a good guarantee. I got 3M for my sedan. Here is a website with info and how to find an installer near you:

After doing research on the subject a lot last year, I ended up going with Venture Shield. My install was alright, not great, but the product itself (at least on paper) is very good. I've only had it on a year and I haven't had any problems or complaints so far.

Clear Shield
3M
Venture Shield

Are the prefferred choice by installers here that must guarantee the product and installation.

I chose the Clear Shield, it has a lifetime warranty (as long as I own the car) and the best package was only $375 which covers most of the front clip and both mirrors.

I have Xpel and its very good. Except one time Tree sap landed on my car and perm stained the bra. I had to have the dealer install a new one.

Let me clear the air here before more misinformation spreads. Xpel does not make clearbra material. They make templates for different cars.
3M, Venture, Avery, and Llumar make the material. I chose Llumar based on my installer's recommendation. He installed patches of all the different brands on his vehicle. Llumar has a better look to it. When you look at the reflections in the materials, the others are more blurry and/or streaky. The Llumar adds the least effects.

By the way, total price for material + installation should be around $6-750. Ask what templates they use and how many pieces the front bumper uses. Good kits designed for professionals (like Xpel) use 1 piece. DIY kits use several pieces for the bumper and it looks like garbage and has a lot of seams.

Thanks for everyone's input. Now, lightforce mentioned that tree sap stained his old xpel bra. Are all clear bras susceptible to stain from substances, like tree sap? If they get stained, will replacement be under the manufacturer's warranty? Anyone knows about RoadBlock?

A friend of mine suggested that I get the Venture Shield, he has it on his Porsche, lifetime warranty. He drove 2 hours to the only installer in Miami, but he bought the regular bra to use to go there to make sure his car was protected. There are a lot of bugs here in FL during the spring and summer time. He uses the regular bra, puts it on top of his clear bra, but only when he goes on very long trips.
