I noticed there is a decent amount of bass, but just short of enough. Also the highs suck...

Bose=Blows--seems to cut off highs and lows and boosts what is left in the middle--even if you crank up the bass and treble--many threads exists on this

No highs, no lows, it's Bose. From what I've been told, Bose only excels at spoken word and classical. I'm researching fixes now.

Mine sounds fine, much better than the Clarion/Infinity setup I had in my old car. And the Bose at level 20 will vibrate my rear view, so that is more than enough.

The Bose system in my 04' G is quite honestly the worst sounding car audio system I have ever heard in my life. It was the first thing to be upgraded, since I felt it was almost an embarasment to have such poor sounding audio in such a high class sporty luxury coupe.

If you're happy with it, don't listen to the naysayers, as that can only result in: a) you becoming unhappy with what you have, and/or b) you spending money you didn't think you needed to spend in order to upgrade it.

My advice would be to form your own opinion. I love my Bose and it's the best OEM system I ever heard or owned. It did happen to cut off left side speakers when listening to burned CDs, but that has not accured again and it's been fine for months and the dealer offered to get my headunit replace under warranty. I think the sound is great, I used to install 12 inch subwoofers in my previous rides, and I feel like I don't need it in the coupe, it's not as good, but for the OEM system it's great.
Oh, and I also noticed that Satelite XM radio has much better sound and bass than regular radio or CDs. Maybe you guys are listening to the wrong music, try to burn a song "Dare" by Gorillaz, put bass on 3, treble on 5, and volume on 20, and tell me if the system is no good or "Rodeo" by Juvenile. Enjoy!

The bose in my 06 is so much worse than the stock premium system in my 93 MR2, that' pretty pathetic. My friends VW GLI also obliterates the G's sound system, it kinda ticks me off that his car that costs half less has better sound AND auto leveling bi-xenons, get it together infiniti.

Bose is also apparently a tyrant when it comes to hyping their product and needlessly copyrighting things. Check this website out for a good write up to why Bose outright sucks so much :

That's funny, cause my friends Monsoon in his 2002 Jetta is a joke and embarrassment comparing to my Bose.

This whole thing is being taken out of context. It comes down to a matter of preference the same way a person likes black, red, white and so forth. Each person perceives something differently.

Same goes for audiophiles some like sealed while others like bandpass boxes.
