damn kimchi, sorry to see what happened. China Town seems to be a bad place for our G's. I'm definitely going to avoid it like the plague now.

 

I completely agree with what he said. Even if the repair cost is 350 dollars.. it's probably cheaper to just pay it out of pocket, considering the rate hike over the course of the next few years plus your deductible.

 

I think the reason he likes the deal is cuz its only $250 out of pocket and his insurance said no rate hikes. If that is truely the case, get it done professionally. You don't want to deal w/ paint cracks and other problems that can arise from pulling dents, although that is probably what the body shop will do anyway. (try heating the paint up around the edges before you pull. Less likelyhood of cracking.

By the way, i think vixen's car is really pink... i thought i saw photos of the pink G. Custom paint vixen? or just photo work... there are only three other cars i saw that is similar in color. The pink corvette (morgana <- is that her name?), a pink caddie, and a pink civic. Unique to say the least.

Is it just me or does it seem like there are more G haters out there than the average nice car??? I've had my G keyed, bumped into, crashed into, spit on... wassup with so many bad incidents with G owners???

 

Ill answer this for her... no her G is not pink its LR.. but pink is her favorite color...

Back on topic... dude that sucks... ive been lucky so far (knock on wood)... but i am **** about where i park my car... sometimes im willing to park all far and then my GF laughs at me

usually the older people are the ones who hit people's cars. Old people can't drive for shiet..I see them either hit other people's cars when they're parking or driving the wrong way into a one way street all the times. But they VOTE, so they still gonna continue driving and hitting cars guys

 

Initially he said it was going to result in a rate hike... but he went back and changed it, I'm presuming based on new info that his insurance company may have revealed to him.

I thought it sounded a bit fishy that he would have to pay a deductible for something that he wasn't at fault for... but maybe it was something that was policy-specific.

yeah i forgot the LOL at the end.

 

the exact same thing happened to me in october, 2005. same size dents, same number, same location. since the dents are larger than hail dents and they are right on that ridge that runs down the side, the dent guys can't take it out. i went to dent doctor here in tulsa and he took one look and said he couldn't do it and that i would need to find a body shop to fix it. make sure you go to a good place because he said he could diminish it but it would still be there. you don't want a place to say they can fix it, charge you $400, and you still have part of the dent still there. same with the plunger. i tried it and it helped a few of them but it only improved them a bit. i had 3 on the drivers side and one on the passenger side rear quarter panel. at a good body shop, i had quotes from 1800 to 2100. with only one side, it will probably be a little over a grand. good luck and let us know if you find a dent place that fixes it well because i am waiting until june to get mine fixed and i would love it if i didn't have to drop 2 grand on bodywork.
