i currently have d2r 6000k bulbs..and i just orderd a pair of 06 projectors..i know i need d2s bulbs,ive heard of some people scraping the metal off the top of the bulb of the d2r does anyone have details on this,i did a sarch but came up empty handed.ive seen this discussed on here before..how would i scrape that metal off the bulb..?

 

just sell those bulbs and get yourself some D2S bulbs, they don't cost that much either. and selling the D2R bulbs will help in the costs of the new one.

as far as scraping the black/brown strip on the bulb, it's do-able but I wouldn't do it...
