G35C Tire Spin

G35C Tire Spin
I just got into the “drive it like you stole it” phase of the engine break-in and tried out bringing the car up to 6000 RPM before shifting to the next gear. I was amazed at the power this thing has. I had tire spin after each shift before I backed off in 4th gear. I can only imagine how well this car is going to go after it’s broken in completely. I’m confident the guy in the Audi A6 2.7T who took off at the light was shocked at my catching him before we hit 50MPH. He had a car length before I even realized he was wanting to test the G! It was nice to pass him and shut down before we got past the speed limit…
Is there a good way to keep from spinning the tires but maintaining a quick shift at the upper end of the RPM range?

Re: G35C Tire Spin
better tires.........aside from that, slow down your shift, but that will reduce your acceleration time
also, warmer tires spin less than colder tires
but i agree, my 6mt sedan will spin for a long time going from 1-2,2-3 and that is at 5000 ft altitude where I live.
some people say, "the sedan doesn't have LSD, so you are only spinning one tire". I have gone back and looked, you can easily see two uniform5-6 foot black streaks where I shifted each time.

Re: G35C Tire Spin
This isnt one of those "i know more about stick shifting than you" reply cause the G for me is my first manual car, but I believe you're doing that because you're stepping on the accelerating too early. To put it in simpler terms, when you're shifting, i believe you're stepping on the accelerator too early compared to letting the clutch engage the next gear and the rise in rpm's will make your tires chirp/spin. Hopefully i'm not wrong and giving you wrong info. heh
