right now im not sure what the noise is but im going to try to explain it the best i can...I have a 2003 5AT and it sounds like something is loose but im not sure if its that or my transmission...when i drive it sounds as though there is metal vibrating against something underneath the center consoul....when i hit a bump the metal noise is real intense and it sounds as though something is going to fall out...but when i hit the throttle softly at around 3000 rpm it vibrates heavily as well so im hopinhg its not a gear grinding or something....? has anyone had this happen or might know of what it is? thanks

 

i never got any responces yesterday but i when i got off work i went home and put the car on the lift and found out that it was my exhaust...i ahve a stillen on it now and the pipe comming from the headers to the mid pipe was connected fine it was the bolt that is shaped like a "U" that was loose even though i couldnt turn it with my hand it was still loose enough to be making some serious noise, problem fixed....
