Differences with Mrev+?

I just installed my mrev+ kit and i did not get the increase in power that i was hoping of recieving. Maybe its just me but has anyone not been impressed with the mrev? i was expecting a lot of gain, but guess you cant expect a lot out of just a plenum spacer.

you should be able to tell a difference in high end, it pulls more consistantly around peak. it doesn't feel like it's dying out as it used to. I have the 1/2" spacer from when motodyne was just a group buy. So I don't know about all that new stuff with the isothermal thingie. I imagine they don't make all that big of a difference

Changing the lower plenum

I have an 03 5AT Coupe and am planning on getting the 5/16 plenum spacer. I'm wondering though, would it be worth the time, effort, or money to replace my lower plenum with MD's new modified one?

you're picking up a less than 10% gain.

you'd have to be paying pretty close attention to notice.

MD Plenum spacer

Don't mean to hijack thread....but quick question.

I've noticed many posters already have the plenum spacer, when I looked at Motordyne's site, they have an iso thermal and they also have a copper version of the plenum spacer. I know I'm going with the 5/16 because I want to have everything look totally stock. What are the differences between iso and copper and is it worth the money difference?

Thanks,

Les

Copper disipates heat better, therefore keeping things a little cooler than an aluminum spacer.

Mrev +

I installed a mrev plus yesterday and drove it last night. I have a Stillen intake and tube, HKS exhaust and now this. I must say that last night I could tell there is a slightly deeper exhaust tone. It seemed to pull a little harder from @ 3500 rpm and up. This morning when I drove to work, it seemed to run even better. It idles better. I drive 62 miles to work. Then I went to lunch . Took a coworker with me and he instantly noticed the deeper tone. Let her warm up for the first few miles and let her roar. (By the way, he drives a vette). He is very impressed with the improvement. I must say that she pulls stronger from 3000, after 4000 there is a substantial gain in torque. It is very noticeable. This is the best mod for N/A VQ's out there. It was worth every penny.

MREV is only applicable to the REVUP motors (05+)

yes, but the gains are from the spacers and what not..

not the MREV itself.
