Poor G: Mall Parking Garage

Saw this on www.carlounge.net thought I would post it over here:

The car had a nice set of aftermarket wheels. Security patrolled the lot every 20 minutes. Poor G. Makes me rethink getting aftermarket wheels.

Cheap-*** crooks these days. I remember when you'd get four blocks when they'd steal your wheels.

Geez people spend $1-2k or even more on rims and don't wanna spend $15 on wheel locks.

Damn... not the first i've seen here on the forums in that condition. It's crazy, i just had a dream of that exact scenario this morning. My rims were stolen from an underground parking lot where i lived. Seemed so real. But i had these crazy a$$ bling chromed rims in my storage everyone in my dream kept pointing at. Might be time to get some rolling 22's heavy chrome and top it off w/ spinners and the new led light show for the wheels. hahahaa.

Well, needless to say, it was a nightmare of a dream. I have 2 sets of locks and I still worry. How do they get away with doing such a thing at a public place, high traffic, patrolled, and get away clean?

That happened to me in my last car... Came out in the morning to go to class and they had used blocks from my neighbor's garden.. messed up the rotors in the process. I then got accused by the police of doing it myself and was told the ramifications of insurance fraud. After I got about 2" from the cop's nose and explained to him every way a vulgar word could be used he took my word. Idiot.

I wouldn't be surprised if mall "security" was in on the deal. They probably drive around looking for nice cars parked alone (to prevent scratches) and call in their buddies to harvest the goods.

Anyway, that's a sad picture!

Its called wheel locks people... I mean they cost $15- $60 If you can afford to buy the car & the wheels, you can afford the alarm & the wheels locks !!
