G or C or Z or M3
Alright I still havent got my G yet(6mt fully loaded) But I have been looking at other cars...what do you think I should do. A 2002 or 2003 Mercedes C32 with less than 10000mi or a 2002 or 2003 Z06 with less than 10000mi or a 2001 or 2002 M3 with less than 20000mi. I want to go fast, handle well and an look good. Please give me an unbiased opinion.

If fast and handle are your main priorities - then Z06 or M3.
If you want fast and handling and need a backseat - then M3.
If you want to look good then for me, its a toss up, but it would be Z06, G35, M3, then C32.
If you want luxury, convenience, fast, handling, then C32, M3, G35, then Z06.
If you want value, but still want to go fast - then G35.
I wanted a Z06, but since they dropped Electron Blue mid year and I wanted a new car, AND most importantly, the C6 will be out next year, I passed and bought what I felt was the best looking and best performer in the mid 30s range.
I will probably attempt to buy the C6 Z06 in its second year of production (most likely 2007). My friend's father has an 2002 M3 in Carbon Black and it is sooo sweet, but it is expensive.
Never really been a big fan of Mercedes since I'm more sport and less luxury and I don't see (maybe they don't make any or many) manual transmission Mercedes vehicles. They are great cars and have nice luxurious interiors, but not my cup of tea.

All these car are about within 3 or 4 grand of each other. The only one that I could afford new is the G35.

Wow you couldn't have come up with some easier options? I would say the C32 is out the door automatically.
If they were all new it would be the M3. But I think I would take an 04 G35 over an 2 year old Vette or M3.
I would also look at Warranties. which one will have a warranty longer?
Which ever way you go your a lucky bastard.

I almost got a Z06 myself. The M3 and the C32 were nice too, but haven't changed their styling significantly for too long in my opinion. I needed a backseat though, so the Z06 was out *sniff*.
The G style is new, brand new. So new, in fact, that I rarely see one (maybe one every week) among a sea of BMWs, Mercs, and Audis. There is no confusing it with a Civic or Corolla from a distance, which has bugged me with the BMWs for a few years now.

Re: G or C or Z or M3
The Mercedes C32 AMG is a pretty fast little four door. And you can make it even go faster if you upgrade the ECU and put in a smaller supercharger pulley it will easily make over 400+ HP. Which would kill the M3 and hang with a Z06, while retaining it’s four-sedan comfort. The only thing that sucks is that it doesn’t have a 6MT as an option for the C32 AMG, but its 5AT is quick and efficient shifter though.

Was he talking about the AMG or the regular C320? I don't know alot about the Mercedes lines but I thought the AMG was different then the regular C320

Well, first the C32 is completely out of the picture. No manual, no way. In addition, it is a 4-door so its not in the same class anyway. When you are looking at an M3, you are looking at it strictly for performance since you can buy a 330is for a lot less. Because it costs as much as a Z06 but has less performance, it is out against the Z06.
When I started looking at new cars, I set a range from a Cooper S to a Z06. In the end, there were only 2 cars left: The G coupe and the Z06. The G doesn't have the perfromance of the Z06. Driving both, the G had no negatives at all. While, the 2 Z06's I have driven both were pretty rough, noisy and wandered on the highway. Since I was looking at this car as a daily(I also have a 911), the G was the better choice for me. If you were really considering a C32 because of the room, there is only 1 option for you: go look for a used M5.
