I have 3 black cars (Accord 99 for daily driving, Civic Si 2006 for my significant other, and a G3 2003 for weekend). Black definitely requires more maintenance, but if you keep it waxed (once a month) and you are careful when you wash it by not draging dirt on the paint; then you will not have any problem with swirl marks. However, after each ride, it will show that your car is not freshly washed as the dust will show. Black is by all mean the best looking color - But you have to be a fanatic, else it quickly becomes the worse color is not maintained appropriatly.

no offense to nay ladies on the boards but ivory pearl in my area screams girlie girl racing. in long island, all the jappy girls have the car is ip. imho

when black is clean its the best, but getting it clean is not easy, but once you do its great!

no offense to anyone who is trying to "pimp out" their ride with "bling bling" but i dont think that the volk racing white g with white te37's is girly at all especially because the car is coming from the no. 1 wheel manufacture ever for pure sports car enthusiats

I clean my black coupe twice a week but everyone knows black is the best but some people are just plain lazy and don't want to clean the car so they buy a different color or they really just don't like black, we all have our reasons.. Many polls have been done on this website and black seems to come out on top with IP in 2nd.. Don't choose 2nd best because of pure laziness.. Nothing can touch black and chrome wheels and at night time your black coupe is a pure street racing looking demon!

I only wash my black coupe like once a month and wax it every two, depending on the weather season. But the way I think of it is like this: Out of the 9 months in a yr, nobody gives a rat's as* about your car. It's the months of June, July and August when cruising down Sunset Blvd or the Vegas strip means the difference between heads turning for your car or heads just looking forward. I had a 00' white accord coupe and no matter how many times I clay barred and waxed, it was still just a white car. I remember the first week I had my black ryde, an elderly mom with her 20-something yr old son literally stopped in their tracks and said "Son that is one hot car!".

black is by far the hardest to maintain.........gets dirty/dusty after 5 min of driving it after a wash..........works great with zaino tho............if i could do it all over again i would def go with IP or AB

You seem to have alot of experience with G's, so thats why im going to ask you. What do you see in an IP coupe? Any disadvantages? Because i think it looks amazing and im thinking of choosing that one

My Twilight Blue coupe...........

My T/B coupe requires the same up keep as black!
When I'm not driving my G it stays in the garage
but the very next time I take it out it requires my
using the Ca. Duster and micro-towels....WTF I have
the time..... Questions about Zano....do a search.

Where do you live?? If its someplace where the weather is not too bad, then the black wouldnt be so bad. It takes a lot to upkeep it though.

Im up in Southern WA, and cars get really dirty up here, so we went with the IP. As far as cleaning, no disadvantages...except it looks nicer longer

Easily the biggest mistake i made was gettin a black g.........it is way too much work and jst too damn hard to keep clean. At least with IP you can wash it real quick and not be **** about drying it and have to worry abot dry spots........IP is jst so damn classy, its sick.
