Anyone in the Chi-town/Tinley park area buy my blk/blk G from Carmax?
that would be cool! they actually gave me more $$ for it stock than with all my mods on it. took them off sold on ebay for a good return and sold the car for more than the initial offer. made out well.
Yup, lol, thats how we do. I always thought that dealers said that they would give u less because of the aftermarket parts, and when i got my rsx appraised where i work they told me so much less. I brought it back a week later and it went up like $2000. But I might swing by my office tomorrow, and I can check it out... When did they take it off the site???
Was taken off their site around the last week in April-first week in May. Was the only 2003 blk/blk 6MT with 31K miles in the Chicagoland area. Sold it to the Merrillville Indiana branch and after a week or so it showed up at the Tinley Park branch. Was sitting in their showroom next to a GTO. Makes sense cause Tinley is like 45 min down the hwy from where I sold it. Still had the Eibach springs and sways so I bet they couldn't get it on the car carrier hehe.

XCELER8, I think that I have your car!!!!!!!!!!!! I bought it from VW Autobarn of Countryside. It was 6mt, black on black, brembo, aero, 31k miles. The tires were michelin pilot sports..bald on all 4's. Could this be yours? That would be pretty cool.
REALLY!!!?? That would be so cool!!! Here's pics of what she looked like before I sold it to Carmax

I still have the Injen intake. If it has aluminum pedals ( i put them on. see the pic ) I bet you its mine. They had a silver base automatic and my 03 blk 6MT. My car specifically went to the Tinley Park Carmax after I dropped her off in Merrillville. If you look at the springs and they are Eibachs, and if she has red Eibach sway bars its defineatly mine! I put an Eibach sticker on the rear sway bar so if you bend down and look from behind you will see it clear as day. Let me know!

In mint condition, 31K miles, never driven in snow they gave me $25K on the spot. Only owed like $19 so I took the offer and a check for the diff was given to me in about an hour. I then sold my wheels, pulleys and some other mods on ebay and made just over another $1200. So my mods helped pay for the taxes on my IS350. They make it real real easy. Carmax then turned around and put it on their lot for 28K
basically a bit smaller monthly payment. after it was all said and done my IS350 is $150 less per month and it was brand new. the IS in sport mode with the paddle shifters is faster off the line and quicker passing than my 6-spd G was. so i got a 0 mile new car thats faster and roomier for less money. it was a no brainer.
i love the IS btw. have Eibachs, Tanabe exhaust, BBS RS-GT's, and some other goodies already for it. Half my wheels are on backorder or else i'd post pics.

Thanks, XCELR8. We will be retiring our Camry shortly so I'm starting my search for a car. I've got the sports car bug, and the G is at the top of my list. The IS is very cool, though. The new body style rocks, but I'm leaning towards a 2 door.
