Has anyone noticed an exhaust rattle when accelerating (past 3K RPM)? I've got 1K on my 07 X and have noticed a distinct rattle when accelerating past 3K RPM... Almost sounds like a loose heat shield... Just wanted to check before I went to the dealer.

I've noticed a very faint ratting sound from mine, but only the first time that I stab the gas when I first get driving, then it just goes away.

I've noticed a rattle when accelerating from what sounds like the exhaust. I hear it when it shifts from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd. This only happens when I go from a cold start, then it goes away.
Let us know if you ask the dealer about it.

I also have a slight Rattling sound when I first start off from a stop in 1st gear. Sounds like a heatshield is loose or the exhaust is resting on the shield?? Really don't want to take it to the dealer for that. Need to find a lift and check it myself.? Glad I am not the only one with this Rattling in my car. And it comes from the right rear side of the car.

I've heard this myself on my X but it usually occurs only under very heavy acceleration.

Same here. It hasn't bothered me enough to go and get it checked out. Let us know if you hear anything from the dealer.

I heard the same thing this morning pulling out of my neighborhood on the way to work. Please post if anyone determines this to be a problem with the vehicle.
Thanks

I hear it at 5k rpm and up. I haven't complained to the dealer yet...

I think there is a TSB about silicon ***** placed in early production heater cores which can be removed to solve the problem.
