New Videos - Stillen Exhaust and JDM Taillights in ACTION!
1. This first one is pretty long (i dont have any editing software). There's a full launch, then if you listen closely you can hear the downshifting as I come back the first time. Then there's a rolling start following that. Whether you watch the whole thing or not you'll get the feel. I love the hearing the downshift when I'm slowing down the first time.
2. This one is in car slowly accel/decel
3. Also in car (I believe windows open)
4. Last one is the JDM amber taillights. The camera doesn't show ALL the contrast between orange/red (there's much more than shows) but it's a good example
Enjoy!

For me - yes. I really do enjoy it.
If you're not someone who really wants a louder G, it's not the best investment. Make sure, before you buy, that you're sure you want an exhaust - because its an expensive thing to change your mind on. Just know that you're going to know its there every time you accelerate, you can't get away from it. But when you're cruising (and once you've put a few hundred miles on them) they really do mellow out.
I don't really spend much money on other things anymore. My car is my toy and I've put more money into it than I expected already, and there's plenty more I want to do. If you have the money laying around (Installed at the dealership it cost me $1236) I'd say its worth it

Thanks alot for the clips, love the sound. My only question is did it diminish in any way your low end torque? I remember when I had my TL-S, I did the exhaust first and lost a bit of low end torque until I upgraded the headers and intake. Thanks in advance for any info you are able to provide.

Stillen claims a gain of about 9hp and 10tq at the wheels. I certainly haven't noticed any loss in power. There COULD be a little more in the midrange for me, but honestly I don't think you're really going to feel the claimed gains (or losses) unless your butt dyno is extremely sensitive.
Also - consider the much better look of the exhaust, the loss of weight (they claim about 13 lbs), and the extra mileage (I've experienced about 2mpg on long drives at 99% cruising speed)
So yours sounds great too! Gotta love the sound of these

I will describe it into two phases.
phase 1 (before grounding kit and reset of ECU):
I felt that that I lost some mid range punch compared to stock but I did feel that I gained in the higher RPM ranges and the car climbed the RPM quicker. I also felt that the car wanted to downshift more and then start climbing the RPM quickly.
I feel I get the same gas mileage.
phase 2 ( after grounding kit and reset of ECU):
I installed the grounding kits 2 weeks ago. In doing so, I had unhooked my negative terminal for over an hour which I believe, correct me if im wrong, resets the ECU. MAN, what a difference. Now I feel like I have mid range punch again, car feels like it really wants to play, and throttle response is quite sensitive. Car climbs the RPM very quickly and is not eager to downshift this time, it just continues to climb the moment I lay on the gas (not that im slamming the gas of course, cuz if I do, of course it will downshift).
I dont know if the car picked up on my daily driving style of regular commuting that it made the delivery of the power tamer. But after the BB grounding wires, reseting the ECU, I am quite happy now with the way the car is. Very happy. I dont feel the lack of mid range punch as I did before.
Maybe having a slightly warmer climate is helping too( I just came from a brutal winter up here in Canada, lol). Who knows. lots of factors to take into consideration.
Hope I didnt confuse u more. lol

Also, I dont want to deal with oiled filters. if I ever do decide on intakes, I would get dry filter types. I hear R2C has dry types.. and maybe K&N; not sure though.
