New Mods: Shave and Mold
New Mods: Shave and Mold
***Updated Pics***
Just got it back from the body shop today. Shave door moldings and molded wing. Took some quick pix and will take more close up pix after I get a wash. I'm thinking of taking out the roof spoiler...kinda looks busy. What do you guys think?
Edit: Sorry , I wasn't able to answer questions earlier I just got back. The spoiler I used is the CSL style spoiler for the E46 SEDAN. It again like the IS300 spoiler didn't fit exactly and even worse than the IS spoiler so modifications had to be done. The CSL spoiler was longer and the angle from top to the back was about 75-80 degree and the G35 sedan trunk from top to the corner to the back was over 90+ degrees. So I cut 90+% of the back of the CSL spoiler to fit the corner as well as the inner fiberglass, shaved the ends to shorten it and added fiber glass, sanded and reformed the ends: Here are pix of the spoiler and the CSL trunk that I found online:

New pics with the roof spoiler off and FS.

Looks great! I was just talking to a friend tonight about possibly molding a rear lip on the trunk of my '05 sedan in the future. Great job - very clean! +1 on the type of lip you used.
