1700 mile/6 week Unbiased Review

I've had my G for above timeframe. Sport suspension and Premium with winter. Love the Car. It's not perfect.

What a great feel this car has. I'm now used to the touchy brakes and almost have them mastered. They stop on a half dime. Top points for brakes. Steering is as tight as the 97 328i I traded. 97 beemer has tighter steering than 03 beemers. The wheel does jiggle a bit when over bumps, much more jiggle then beemer. But tight as a cute babes butt. Acceleration is top notch. So is my buddies Acura S. I have to admit though. I love pickup and acceleration and no car is this class incluing audi, benz, bmw, acura, matches what I really need. Maybe i'll have the cash for a porsche of top line benz someday.

Comfort, Convenience, safety, and space in this car are amazing for a car in this class. I mean, of couse a big benz would top this car in the aforementioned. But that car is 70k. Top scores in above categories. Seats are solid, not the best, but very comfortable. It takes me 5 minutes to read all the safety features in this car. The interior space is big enough for 4 adults very very comfortably.

This car may not be the best in each category. But I know understand when in numerous test this year the G came in tops all around. This is the most WELL ROUNDED car I have every driven.

9 out of 10. We gotta save the ten for those $80k and up cars.

for the price I paid (36,000 for an 04 nav, premium and sport OTD) it's a 10 out of 10 so far. I've only put a few hundred miles on it but I have driven many many cars and love this one!

04 Sedan. Black W/ Willow. Premium, Navigation, Sport Tuned. Brand Spankin New.

yep, 9 out of 10 is the most unbiased score I would give to the G, 10 out of 10 is for my owning the G, a biased one. Even though, the new G can not compete with the 70K overrated, self-proclaimed, "engineer like no other", piece of joke machine. It definitely beats the 98 E-Class I own, which I had to try not to look for weaknesses in order to give it an acceptable score. In regards to the engine performance, yeah...the 3 series definitely has the edge over the G, smoother than the VQ in gear shiting aspect. However, the G is still comparably faster than a 40K 330 and is much more reasonably priced.

Almost a thousand miles now and I'd give it a 9. Love the "planted" feeling on the road. Great blend of handling and comfort with the sport pkg. Guess I can't really rate power until I've finished breaking it in, but so far, pretty damn good. Interior is a little cheap but functional. Seats aren't as comfortable as my Acura CL-S, which also has a nicer interior. Both cars would be 9's for me. Each has its own strengths. Acura is a little more refined but the G is definitely more of a true sport machine.

"Planted".......that's the word I've been searching for to describe the feel of this car. Thanks LasPalmas!.............Oh, and I agree, definitely a 9 out of 10!

texxasguy, I'm interested in the Aftermarket Console Wood. Where did you buy it from? How about post a pic of your interior with the Wood console?

Thanks,
