Changed my cabin filter today.....not that dirty though...

Hi all,

Had some free time at home today so I decided to change the in-cabin filter. I've had my car for 1.5 years now with a little under 11k miles. When I took the filter out I was a bit surprise that it wasn't that dirty at all. What you guys think? The pictures are very crappy. Took it with my camera phone in the garage.

Thanks...

Sorry.....had to edit it, I guess I do see alot of dirt on the picture but I was expecting some dark dark filter. Maybe because I only had 11k miles? Who knows. Changed it because I noticed lately the AC stinks for a bit when I first turn it on.

It looks a bit dirty but not horrible. Then again I'd be more worried if it wasn't dirty. I'll probably change mine in the fall.

You should soak the new filter with some fruit peels, so everytime it'll smell good

Forgot to test it today... Then again the ac odor was only there for a couple of times but since it's been 1.5 years with the existing filter, I figured I'll change it anyway.

I got it from Grubbs. I think it was around 30 bucks.

Could someone post instructions to replace the cabin filter, or tell me where it's located?

I've searched the user manual, but couldn't find such information.

Thanks

It's behind the glove box.

I put in one of the charcoal ones when I got my car last year and just got a new one from Chad. We'll see if it's dirty this weekend.

You should have gotten the charcoal filter. Chad was literally
giving them away the other day.
