Does anybody have HKS RS coilovers on the Sedan?
Does anybody have HKS RS coilovers on the Sedan?
I am interested in buying these but I have heard/read somewhere that they drop the stock ride height by a lot. That's why they are only listed as available for the G35 Coupe/Z.
Anybody Anybody? I am wondering what the min drop is using the RS's.
Thanks

I couldnt find it but I remember reading that the minimum drop with the RS's was like 1.5 in the front and 1.0 in the rear? Sorry, I looked but couldnt find where I read that from.
I have the Tein CS coilovers on my sedan and love them. They run about the same price as the HKS but are more drop friendly
front = +0.4" to -2.1"
rear = +0.4" to -1.0"

Thanks man. I almost bought the CS a while ago but I am more interested in performance, so the new Tein Mono, HKS RS, or HKS LS+ is more my style. I just don't want to get stuck with a stance that is too low and not street-able. Unfortunately HKS does not post the dimensions of their coilovers on their website...
there's info throughout this forum if you do a search for "hipermax"...
this thread has the answer you seek and also mentions the biggest (in my opinion) short coming of the HKS RS:

Coupe 0-3" drop translates to .5"-NoFreakinWay on a sedan... look for the post by Gsedan35, the resident suspension guru.
yep, skeleton_cru got 'em on his sedan. maybe he'll chime in.
so far, the RS is on the top of my list for suspension upgrades.
HKS RS (Monotube construction, adjustable dampning)
Spring rates 448/448
Stiffer then oem by F+43% R+31%
Transfers 12% roll stiffness to the front
Special Note: “Marketed” as HKS’s track coil over with a good street ride.
