Second, since you started this, you're fair game :
In this usage the word "its" is a possessive pronoun, and should have no apostrophe.

This, I imagine, was just a typo. You're forgiven.

And no fair going back and editing your post to fix it!
Yea I noticed my own mistakes but I didn't bother fixing. I thought either people won't notice or just won't care. Apparently you do ! lol

My biggest one is "loose" in place of "lose". It happens so frequently around here I think I'll "loose" my mind.

well photochop is wrong

if people would write it photo chop it would make more sense and in terms of grammar would be more correct. I don`t know.. actually I will agree and say that forum is not a formal writing and most importantly that everyone understands the meaning...

but sometimes I hate when native speaking people write in english worse than I do - ehen english is my third language,,, after Latvian and Russian

I agree with the fact that some people are just in a rush to type out a reply or post. however sometimes you can tell when people just have NO clue on how to spell. Those from other countries are obviously excused but I guess some either don't care, don't know, or just haven't noticed it...

That also gets me so pissed when people post one instead of the other. UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

That would be okay if it was stated like that, wouldn't bother me at all! You're right, it's not formal here.

lol... "photochop" is an internet word used for describing the process of photoshopping two different pictures together thus the "chop" part formerly of car theft fame. At least that's how I understand it.

Funny that you just started this thread. It too is a pet peeve of mine...yes, there are mistakes (and those are easy to pick out), but then there's those that truly cannot spell. My new favorite recently seen was a thread that has the words "how to fined 18 hp". HA! It was confirmed that they cannot spell, as instead of writing the words "whole engine" within the thread, they wrote "haul engine".....I mean, come on people.
