ok....congrats on to you, especially a sedan and the fine choice of 6mt.......now, with anything related to suspension, which springs with what shocks, etc..etc...listen to Gsedan35...he has the goods to back up his goods........anyhow, you can test your mods out by comparing them with you're at work..ie, driving stock ones!! how cool is that.....a baseline drive anytime.....

Quote: Congrats on your new purchase. The spring you choose to go with worries me. H&R 350Z springs drop the Z 1.5", your looking at a 2.5" drop on the sedan. That much drop on your taller oem sedan shocks (vs oem Z shocks) is not a good idea, your going to end up riding on the bump stops even if you trim them back. Also keep in mind that oem Z shocks are firmer then oem sedan shocks, so not only are you likely to not have enough dampning power, your weaker shocks won't offer as much resistance to keep the bump stops away from the tops of the shocks, making things even worse. I know the springs were not cheap, but I am speaking from recent experience, and that's with shorter, firmer Koni shocks with a little less drop and with linear springs vs the progressive H&R's you picked up.

this was the pile he was driving before

i dont think he will have problems with a low ride

Quote: thanks i know the H&Rs are rated at 1.6" drop but i'll manage with the koni shocks installed with them
That's a 2.6" sedan drop of course. Unless you already have the Koni's on hand, save yourself a lot of money and get Tokico D-specs ment for the Z. By "manage" I think I understand what your saying, that your basically taking owership for how things end up.

it was funny b/c i drive a loaner G almost 3 times a week to pick up customer's vehicles for service and when I got my 6MT it didn't feel like it was mine. but i looked at other cars out there outside of an infiniti but it didn't appeal to me at all.

LOLZ.. I picked up my G from your dealership at Massapequa back in '04. Over 300 miles from where I live.

oh yea, it must feel good to be on the otherside of that desk.

and if by breaking in, you mean pulling donuts, cutting out your pre-muffler, replacing your intake, racing coupes and chirping gears around the dealership,

yea - you must be doing a very fine job

c'mon mang - this is your vehicle now! stop treating it like a delivery!
haha, j/k

It is definitely a nice piece of eye candy. Do you know of a good altima website? I have an 03 3.5SE it is starting to knock a little under liught acceleration and I could use a good resource to read from.

Plus I am looking for some parts.
