I have an 05'x and i love the whole staggered setup, my question is if u get the same size tire for both rims, is it still considered staggered and would it still affect the x's awd attesta. I ask everyone i know that knows something about cars or wheels/tires, but nothing yet. I love the coupe 19's and was wondering if i could pull off this trick, plz let me know.

Same size tires all around is not staggered. On AWD you can have staggered offsets to get a larger lip in the rear (for looks) and use same size tires all around.

The coupe's wheels & tires are staggered and not recommended for your car. But you can swap the tires and put same size all around on those wheels and will work just fine on your car. But the only thing that will be staggered is the offsets.

would having different rotating mass (inertia) on the front/back mess with the differentials?

I dont plan on messing with it, just a thought for those who are considering it.

You are partially right, the 17" & 19" coupe wheels are staggered in offset, the 18" coupe wheels are not.

it is my understanding when i had my audi, as long as you stay within 3% of the inertia it was all gravy. But then again I'm not so sure about them g35x. Audi system was pretty much the same idea but if you stayed within a close ratio it was all good. It should be okay. good luck
