8.5's front 35-40 (38* is ideal)fits perfect with 245/40/19 tires, for a 9.5 rear what offset do i need? i searched and found 40+, but can run a 38 up front and 40 in the rear? or a 20mm with a 20mm spacer? please let me know.

 

I am running a 275/35/19 on a 19x9.5 with a 45 offset. I use to rub before I rolled the inner fender lip.

 

I thought you already ordered your wheels? For a 9.5" rear a +43 or +45 would be good.

I see your a bit confused on what spacers actually do. Spacers lower your offset value, so with a +20mm offset wheel and a 20mm spacers your offset then becomes a +0mm.

 

so whats the smallest offset for the rear with 9.5, 40?

 

its important to note that its quite unusual to rub with 45+ offset on a 19x9.5 wheel and 275mm tires and NO fender lip roll or cut.

 

+40 will rub the fender for sure. Go bigger if possible.

 

A +40 on a 9.5" rear will fit but you may need to roll the fenders. I have a +43 10" and with mine rolled they do not rub even with H&R springs.

I just had three friends ~180-230lbs each in the back seat doing some hard cornering with no probs.

 

are those H&R 350z springs or H&R springs made for the sedan?

 

I'm running 9.5 with 275/35/19 +48 offset on the rear. Lowered on Eibach Pro. No rolling - no rubbing.

i have another question as well...i originally ordered 8.5 all around they ****ed up and sent me staggered and arent charging me extra should i keep it or send it back? my dilema is that i purchased the tires already for the 8.5's....what should i do??

 

Easy...try to sell the 2 that you don't need just yet, so you can buy the wider rear wheels, or better yet....if money isn't an issue at the moment, save the 2 left overs for your front replacements that you'll be needing in the upcoming years.

 

Take your 8.5" fronts and mount them on the back. Do an insane burn out and burn all the tread. Replace the worn out ones with the two left over.

 

not true. If it is lowered and aligned to factory specs, it will be very close. You will probably get a touch of rub on the fender lip....just a touch though.....and you'd have to hit a big dip in the road.

another thing to note is the tire. all tires have very different should profiles. A rounded shoulder is preferable for this setup!!! A square shouldered tire WILL rub.

If you want to fit as wide as possible then you need to roll or cut your fenders.
