Plenum or Plenum Spacer / both?

I have was looking into buying a MD Plenum Spacer until I found the Crawford Polished Plenum. I was wondering if getting both on a NA Sedan would be overkill or do they compliment each other. Would you only want both if you had a FI setup?

Thanks

I would go for the MD spacer, and stop for now.. wait till you are FI; then you can decide if you wanna drop more money into the plenum

what year is your car. There are lots of spacer options depending on what year and type. Search for motordyne and you will find the guy who sells them. He is very helpfull.

Ok..this is a stupid question but if you get the crawford plenum, would it benefit to get the MD spacer? Do you get a plenum and a plenum spacer or is it one or the other?

Alright so I think 05 up doesnt get much value out of the MD Plenum Spacer.

I have an 04 X. So i know I can get the benefits of the MD Spacer but here my problem.

One way or another I want a polished plenum .
(to match my polished weapon R)

SO should I just polish my OEM Plenum and get the MD spacer

OR

Get the Crawford polished plenum and not get the MD Spacer

If Both the Spacer and The Crawford Plenum compliment each other I would be willing to get both.

I'm just concerned that if they are for the same purpose and dont stack HP that well then I wasted my money.

IS thier such thing as too much air for a NA setup ?

EDIT* if just one , which gives you more HP, the aftermarket Plenum or the MD Spacer ?

Plenum = 8-12 hp
Spacer = 8-12 hp

Plenum + Spacer /= 16-24 hp

Benefits are about the same for all non-Rev Up motors. RevUp motors have their own set of mods and gain characteristics. But RevUP mods seem to work on non-RevUp engines.

Best would be to dig around in the intake forum or *gasp* search. Yes there is ALOT of crap to wade though but in this case, you should hit your answer fairly quick. vs the usual 1,000 posts about intakes before you get your answer

I personally always dig around in searchs before I make my own post. Its not that I'm lazy, its that I havent seen someone asking this question.

And from the looks of the answer im getting it looks like theres not a consensus answer.

Do they stack together on NA setups for a benifical gain?

I own a 2004 X Sedan and I want a polished plenum, should I...

A. Polish the OEM Plenum and Get the MD Spacer
B. Buy the Crawford Polished Plenum and not MD Spacer
C. Buy the Crawford Polished Plenum and the MD Spacer

I'd get the crawford polished. Looks and performance. You can add the spacer for minimal extra gains (if any) later.

but what if you polish the oem and the want the plenum later? You just wasted a bunch of money on polishing the stocker

I just went ahead and called Tony at Motordyne. He said they are accomplishing the same goals and he recommended one or the other.

I have searched for a good amount of time. I have found alot of information on both plenums and plenum spacers but never could find a solid answer as to whether or not it would be beneficial to get both?

Where did you get these numbers?

I've ran my car one the same dyno several times:

with crawford V5 plenum
with motordyne spacer 1/4"
with both of them

Car made the most power with spacer by itself.
