It think we could create mounts to mount to the stock splitter mount wi the splitter removed...because you could use the screw hole there. Otherwise, you could always cheap out and use a nylon strap. I know it will definitely stay on (took a trip to the store with one side on!)...but just wont look clean. HOpefully will be able to tackle this weekend.

I am not currently doing this project but thinking about it in the future.

Hot glue would not work because when it gets too hot out the glue would get soft again.

I was thinking about taking that U-shape black plastic molding and putting it on the mesh. Then using an epoxy to mount it to the bumper. It would be permanent that way so you better make sure you like it first!

The idea about mounting it to the center splitter is good too. It would still need a way to be secured to the outside or be very tight pressure fit. The problem with pressure fit is that when the temps change the bumper expands/contracts a little.

I am very curious to see what kind of other ideas people come up with. It will probably be a little while before I try this out. At least a couple weeks.

Looks like you're off to a good start. I would be interested in seeing the finished product.

Looks good chobble....I don't think its that easy for the Nismo bumper is it? The black part of the hole looks permanently placed in there.

^ I've had the customautomesh on my 05 for about 6 weeks now it was a pretty simple install and I liked the results I thought it was pretty common knowlegde that customautomesh offered this it's not pre-cut to fit our 05/06 bumper inserts you have to remove the factory black mesh that's in there now and cut the customautomesh insterts out around it to get the shape. I ordered the black metal pens that comes with the mesh from their website and used that to mount the mesh to my factory black insterts to save myself some time...
