I have a 2006 G35X, and have complete the cheap and easy mod's for horsepower gains ( Intake and Spacer) My next step is an exhaust...but I need some advice. What is the best system to go with? I have searched the treads and have not seen a lot on the 2006 model. I like HKS muffler with a coupe mid pipe. I sounds like the HKS system has the least problem with drone. What are you thoughts?

 

The Borla will have the least drone.

If you want big HP go with the Stillen but it is a bit loud for some people's taste. I have also heard the HKS/mid-pipe combo and it is still a little loud for my taste but sounds good. If you search on here you will find threads on all of them.

 

tt, im not sure but isnt the 2nd gen stillen quite with t he same horsepower... bu this kid around the block has a sick set up its test pipes...and the eletronic silencer so with the silencer on its quite for normal driving but when he hits the switch its sounds like a beast and i think its got solid mid range hp gains!

 

The 2nd gen Stillen is a lot better. The Borla just fits my lifestyle better. I am a fan of Stillen but would love to see an independent test of the G1 vs G2; I'm sure the G2 does not make the same numbers. Honestly I have my doubts that the G1 makes the numbers that Stillen claims. Not to say the Borla is better because I am sure it makes less, I just doubt some of Stillen's claims. I do wish my Borla had the single wall cut tips that the Stillen does.

 

i'd say save the $$ and get the HKS...chads sellin them for $380 shipped!
