2004 Nissan Maxima

I went on Nissan's website and found out that the new 2004 Maxima is going to have 265hp and 255 ft-lb of torque... I don't understand why they would try to surpass the G from a performance stand point... any thoughts?!?

This has been discussed already in another thread and the prevailing notion is that the Maxima is Nissans Flag Ship Model and would need to out perform the Altima.
