Just completed an oil change on both my 05x and da mayors 06 6mt Sedans.
Noticed a few things
1) Oil Filter on the 6mt is facing aft, while the Oil Filter on the X is facing fwd.
2) There is a much larger gap between the accessory pullies and the back of the front bumper
3) My X motor seems to sit a bit higher than the 6mt
4) I cant drive Stick
--------------------------------
The first one, I suspect is so the it clears the transfer case OR it could just be a simple difference between the MREV and REVUp. Can anyone with a RWD automatic confirm this? It would be scary to think that there is even MORE differences between the X and RWD
The Second one I suspect is prob just the VVT on the Exhaust side taking up more space on the REVUp. This is important because I want to buy a RWD front bumper cover(the X has a little hole in the middle, looks bad). I guess I might have to do some test fitting.
Third, prob different motor mounts, I dun know
Fourth is very embarrassing
----------------
Ill try to post some pics tom. Until than, can anyone confirm the Oil Filter thing. I dont think this has been discussed before.

I can't recall where I came across it, but I read that the revup motor sits close to 2 inches lower in the engine compartment to make room for the cam/cam cover changes.
Don't quote me on that; I don't have anything to back it up.

^^ would make sense
interesting how much modification is needed to put in such a identical motor.
