Long Break Pedal??

What does Car & Driver mean by a long break pedal?

LOWS
Long brake pedal, newness difficult to see at a glance, ride and refinement still trailing BMW's perfection.

Oh... crappy brakes? Big surprise. Infiniti has one of the $hittay-ist OEM brakes I have ever experienced.

Long brake pedal means that you haveto push it a long ways to get the brakes to engage.

Hmmm, that's odd. I have a 05 coupe but I think the brakes are pretty good.

I can`t imagine what you have been driving, The G-35 brakes are pretty well acknowledged by most of the car mags (and by this old phart) as being among the best on the market. Look at stopping distances, not dust!

Porsche 911 (996)

And I'm not talking about regular street driving. I'm talking about track events and actually USING my brakes. Brake fade, boiled brake fluid, warped rotors, etc.

+1. The G35 oem brakes are the worst brakes in the world, it doesn't even compare to my Enzo .

mine is 04 and never had a brake pedal issue not even brake dust, as long as i wash it once a week my brakes are fine. G35 has one of the top 60-0 or 70-0 stoppes. G35's 60-0 is anywhere 107ft and 70-0 is anywhere near 153ft. The new RS4 needs 165ft to stop from 70-0 and Murcielago needs 155ft. Any entry level coupe or sedan is going to have brakes that will fade on the track. Even some C5 z06 owners are complaining about the brakes of the z06 at the track. So im not sure what u mean by saying this is the crappiest brakes I have ever expereinced. What did u have before lotus exige???

Thumbs up

think that may be referring to the actual pedal itself being longer? maybe it conflicts with shaq's foot while he's on the gas

I think the G35 brakes are GREAT! I cant even name all the cars I've driven, but I think the G brakes are superior.

i know the brake dust is a lil annoying....but so are people referring to the stopping mechanism on our car as "BREAKS" lol....G35 has one of the best brakes I've had on the cars i've driven. I don't let a lot of people drive my car, but when they do, they tend to tell me "wow i barely tap the brakes and your car halts" "your brakes are so responsive". people are used to having to literally stump or press down on the brake a lot more to get their car to stop...and that's not the case with our brakes...it bites hard and stops quick!

If the G-35 has the worst brakes you ever experienced, and you can only compare it to a Porsche 911, I have to say that you are too inexperienced to be making such damning comments. Compare the G-35 brakes to a similar car, similar price, etc. Your comment is totally misleading to the average driver. Very few of us will ever drive a Porsche on the track. Look at the comments by other people, and get serious!
