gas levels

hey me nd my freind have been arguing about this for a few days but does the amount of gas in ur tank effect ur horsepower i say not at all ull actually go fast because of the weight but he says no it willl go faster because there is more fuel goin into the engine he drives a 300c srt8 nd i got the g sedan
he says u can feel the difference wat do u guys think

The only difference would be the weight of the fuel in your tank... if you have a full tank and a half tank the injectors will still be injecting the same amount of fuel, its not based on the amount of fuel you have in the tank...

exactly this is wat i said to him but he still says that because there is more fuel in the tank there is more fuel in the lines or sumthin idk but thanx

pntbll.......tell ur firend this isnt like when u have a funnel with water and the more water u have ontop the faster is goes........the injectors n fuel pump work the same whether theres a full tank or half a tank............either way, his car dips, but at leats our car doesnt rock side to side when changin lanes at 90..haha

^^don't be ignorant.......try 4212 pounds. But dude, thats 9.9 lbs per horsepower.......the g is anywhere from 11.2-12.8 depending on yr. Plus, it goes 0-60 in 4.7 and runs the 1/4 mi in 13.2........so there goes your cow theory.........Now the twisties........different story.

4212 for real???? i loooked it up on chrysler.com....o well......but yea its still a cow, i never dougbted the fact that it would take a g, obviously, with 125 extra hp it better! at least in a str8 line....like u said, twisties is a diff story
