thanks guys, contact bluebatmobile for all your overlay needs.

I'll be getting some black/polished lip 20's once i can save up enough money, the roof and front bumper kinda set me back.

The car is tinted 20% all the way around but its a metallic tint so it has a greenish/yellow hue to it. In some lighting it looks wierd. I'm getting it tinted 5% on the back and 15% on the doors shortly so it'll look better with the roof.

Boris: I was thinkin the same thing, i've just been pretty busy lately.
Chico: I took 50 or so pics today on my lunch break, i'll post up a separate thread and have alot of full car shots from the front and back for you.

Hey bud you sure we will have problems with the turn signal, because i am thinking about having a bodyshop paint it. They can maybe paint it black enough that wont show any red, but also show the turn signal. What do you think?

Hey GP - who or where did the roof? Looks like you also blacked out the chrome around windows. How's that working out? Any peeling at all?

Thanks.

I got the roof painted at Syndicate Automotive Concepts here in San Diego and i'd reccomend them to anyone that wants custom work. The chrome trim around the windows is still there, must be the angle of the pics.

I searched and read a lot over this topic through this forum.

But being someone who has never done overlays or tinted headlights/taillights...I was wondering how the actual product looked like before being installed on the G35.

Thank you Blue Bat

I know that all tint shops use something like a credit card or squeegy, I took my mom's SUV to have it tinted about a month ago, but the windows ended up having many scratches because he used a plastic card to even out the tinting.

Did anyone suffer from scratching when applying overlays?

PS: Not really sure what a squeegy is. But if it's what you used in your guide, it looks a bit softer than a plastic card.

Here are some of the parts that came with my 3M clear bra install kit. The squeegee and bubble removing tool help a lot for stuff like this.

I would not go any darker, the 6/10 tints it quite a bit as-is and if you get rear ended by another car they have a good case against you because you modified your turn signals and they could not see them.
