I've been reading the forums for quite some time now, and finally picked up my '06 6MT yesterday. Thank you all for the endless amounts of valuable information - you certainly made my decision to purchase an easy one.

So far, I am extremely pleased with nearly everything the sedan has to offer. I just have one quick question though: is this the same key fob that those of you with '06 6MTs received? I know I got a great deal and all, but perhaps I falsely assumed that it would be a little nicer, similar to the one for the automatic I test-drove. Minimally, I thought there would be an Infiniti emblem somewhere on the fob, but perhaps not. Anyhow, it's not a huge gripe, just wondering if this was standard. Please let me know. Thanks.

 

yup thats the same old ugly key fob that nissan cars use as well. If you dont have the intelligent key (which in this case, you have 6mt so you dont) you get this ugly POS..

 

Yep....Thank god I got mine with intelligent key

 

Yeah that is the standard nissan fob.

Changed mine to a remote start with 2-way paging LCD remote.

 

I got the same key fob on my 2003 Nissan Maxima SE. You only get the oval key fob with a silver Nissan or Infiniti logo if you got the Intelligent Key.

..i wonder if its possible to wire the intelligent key into a 6MT?

 

Someone else was looking into it and it was a lot of work.
