Stillen License Plate Bracket

I'm looking for some feedback on the Stillen front license plate bracket:

1. Do they fit on an 06 G35 6MT sedan?
2. If so, where can you purchase it?
3. Does anyone have it installed and how do you like it?
4. What other alternatives are out there that are similar that would work?

I've done searches and haven't really found anything pertaining specifically to the 06 sedan. There is some conflicting information i.e. websites only have coupe kits listed, some members say 22mm tow hook adapters, others say 24mm. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I have an 05 6MT sedan, and neither of the Stillen coupe brackets worked on mine. Why the coupe and sedan use different thread patterns and sizes is beyond me. My local machine shop couldn't rethread the Stillen piece, and wanted me to pay for the tools to make a custom one. No thanks. Anyway, what I ended up doing was cut the threads off my towhook and the front half off the Stillen piece and splice to two together with JB Weld and a PVC collar for support. It looked ghetto, but installed all you see is the nice black anodized part coming out the bumper hole. Of course, then I had to buy a new towhook, which was $48. I like the look, but in retrospect it was not the wisest investment I've made.

There aren't any other options that I'm aware of, and I searched hard. I know somebody on the forum was making custom ones, but I don't know if it ever got off the ground. Good Luck.

I have an 06 X and the Stillen Front License Plate Bracket worked for me. I did a long search on the forums for which size to order and did the tow hook comparison from the PDF on the Stillen site. Someone stated that the 05-06 sedans work with the 24mm sized piece, which is what i ordered and it fits perfectly. Hope that helps

Go to Stillen website..Coupe..Year..Exterior.. Misc.. They don't list it for the sedan but it does fit..Check the PDF file on website to compare thread size to your tow hook.

Were you able to completely screw in the 24mm bolt to the tow hook opening? I got the correct size bolt with the stillen kit but the thread pattern is just slightly off that of the stock tow hook. The threads are about 2.5" long but mine will only screw in about 1".

That is great news. When I called Stillen 6 months ago when I got the car they told me it would not fit. Guess they really dont want to sell their goods. I will be giving this a go pronto!

I've got an 06 AT sedan and after measuring it with a tape measure it appears to be 22mm. I'll double check that in the morning with a Micrometer once I get to work.

Nah...Did that already...It's the thread that didn't work...I went to the dealer and bought it back twice...I have the guy compare it to the 24mm dia. and it didn't fit the thread...i guess they still didn't make it...
