Spring Rate Question

I was looking at S-tein for my G35 sedan and noticed that the spring rate on the fronts are higher than the rear where as my OEM sport suspension has the high rate in the rear. Is there a difference in handling if I get a higher spring rate in the front instead of the rear. I assume for a rear wheel you would want the higher spring rate in the rear and not the front. Someone please explain and help me out.

You may want to do a search on this topic to get the proper info. Are you getting the S-tech for the G Sedan, Coupe, or the 350z?

Definatley research, I don't much about the spring rate, but you probably want to keep it closer to OEM specs so you don't change the handling characterisitics of the car.

The one thing I know for sure is that if you get the S-tech for the sedan you'll wear out your sport shocks sooner than you expect. Main reason is the rear shock rate is softer that stock. You may want to rethink and look at the 350z H/S - Techs. Most of the other G35 drivers on this board using Tiens are on the 350Z version. Hope this helps.
