i seriously don't understand how some people could be so stupid and ignorant. i was just minding my own business when a guy pulled up next to me in his Dodge Ram hemi pickup truck. he started to rev his truck... i seriously couldn't believe that he wanted to race me. the light turns green and he takes off...i just sat their stunned by his willingness to race me... so i didn't pursue but on the next light, he looks at me thinking that he won. ( i guess some people still don't now how fast our cars are) he revs his engine again... this time i let him now that im gonna race by revving my engine.
the light turns green and i burn him as if he was on a stand still. i thought he learned his lesson but on the next light he revs his engine AGAIN and flicks me off!! the light turns green and i burn him again.
i seriously don't understand how some people could be so ignorant and stupid. i guess they never learn...

I had a similar joker rev on me, except he was in a Saturn coupe. I mean come ON. At first I thought he was just joking and I just eased off the line as I normally would. However, when I began to hear his engine rev high and saw him acting like we were actually racing, I had to let him in a the truth. Behold the power of the G35, Saturn-boy!

Funny stories, keeping me entertained. I have a friend who just bought a "loaded" Tacoma with four doors. I won't comment on the vehicle but this just proves how ignorant people are about our cars. We were next to each other at a light and I thought he would recognize what type of beast he was up against. As the light turned green I just took off like normal but he scratches his tires a little and I can tell he's pushing it a little, finally I hear him floor it because I can tell he's dropped a gear and it was about then that I'd had it. I floored it and blew past him, even I was surprised how fast I got going. All he could do was shake his head. Needless to say, a little respect was learned that day.

 

I encounter this all the time, just today a clown in a Chrysler 300M challenged me, needless to say, no contest. Also a riced up Saturn sedan, that was kinda funny.

 

I once "aggravated" a dude in a Porsche 911 Turbo. Ok now I know what everyone is thinking, "what the hell were you thinking!?" My only response is, "I wasn't!"

Well I was speeding along the freeway one night. I apparently sped past a Porsche 911 going about 80. He got excited and I knew something was up when I saw those bright lights come up fast behind me. I couldn't tell it was the Porsche just yet. He basically just followed me as I weaved through traffic. The moment we hit a clearing, he sped past me at an insane speed! He must've hit it real hard. Since at that point, I was already pushing close to 90. Oh well, I guess you better be hauling *** if you're paying over $100K for a car.

I spanked a Rustang GT pretty bad the other day. We started from a dead-stop at a traffic signal, and when the light turned green, we sped around a two-lane left-hander onto an on-ramp. By the time I hit the freeway, I was 100-200 yards in front. The GT wasted a lot of energy spinning tires, and its rear-end spent some time hanging *way out* in my lane, too. Of course, I would not have seen that had I not been looking for him in my mirrors at the time! Many seconds later, I let him blow by me at triple digits. HA!

I haven't really tried my car yet, just have over 600 miles on it, but when I drove the dealer demo, I felt it very similar to the acceleration on the GT getting on the interstate! My GT was also an automatic, I can only drive an AT due to a bad right leg. I did have a guy in a G Sedan some time back, that I had a hard time keeping up with him, in the GT, that really impressed me. Of course, it doesn't sound like the GT did, LOL! One thing, I am by no means a racer, but do like the power!

We took our old 2001 MT GT out for a spin-- my new toy vs. my old toy. AT Sedan kicked the GT's booty... It can't beat that beautiful, husky V8 growl though.
