Filling up gas tank and noticed....

so i have had two G's and have filled them up numerous times, yet i only recently noticed that my '05 does not have that little metal flap that is usually at the top of the fill tube. is that right? i can't believe i never noticed before.

did they stop putting them on, or did mine break off and fall into the tank? or are they hot items on the black market, and someone stole mine.....?

no gas flap here either.... although lately i haven't been able to fill up all the way despite being down to a quarter tank when the pump clicks off.... 6 gallons is what i would get when the pump lever disengages. i gotta drive around to another pump and pump in the remainder to fill up...its getting annoying... haven't got the recall thing-ma-jig and i dread haven't them take the rear end down to fix it as i know they'll probably screw up the rear suspension for sure.

every now and then mine won't fill up all the way either. it happens like every few weeks or so. i fill it to where it stops, and drive to another pump, and it's ok.......if it becomes a recurring thing every time i fill up, it's going to the dealer.
