yeah i hope so. i mean, i dont want to pay for something that didn't come in prestine condition. if it were lower towards the bottom, or something you cant really notice, i'd be fine. but you can CLEARLY see all 6 lines in front of the lip, thats why i think its worth trying. anyone have his number? and what time to reach him at work?
Yes let Chad know, he will help make it right. I have his number at work and will send it to you.
With any body kit part you should inspect it before you sign.

What's going on here? I ordered one a few days ago, and I got an invoice from Chad saying it was $280. Now I just got another e-mail from him and the price jumped up to $301. What gives? I know about tax, but you gotta be kidding me. People out of state have been picking them up for $268 shipped. Anyone else have the same experience, or am I just the unlucky one? I just e-mailed Chad and I hope to get a response soon. BTW, I live in SoCal, so no special deliveries or anything of that nature.

My guess is he did not notice you were local.
The price is $256 plus tax and shipping. There is no way that could be under $280. Seems like common sense. Chad can't pick up the tax for local buyers or he would loose money.
Sorry for your inconvenience. I’m sure he will give you a refund if you like.

maybe it got mixed up. but yeah, just wait for his response. i live in socal too, and the tax is like 20 bucks! sucks, but, gotta deal with it. but still....i think its a good discount if you ask me.
and, i spoke to chad today and he said it'd be no problem to exchange it. he told me i'd have to bring the box so they could inspect it, but it couldn't fit in my g. i dont know how to fold down the seat
, how do you do it?
i just cut the tape and triple folded the box, you think its ok like that?
but yeah, he's a real cool guy to work with. give him time to respond.

I think they want to see how beat up the box was when you got it. Folding it up isn't going to help. Also the seats don't fold down on the G35, the non premium sedans might be different though.
The sedan seats do not fold down. It's BS and a flaw with the car if you ask me.

^^ i agree with you. i mean, u'd think that the designers would want to retain a little bit of the 1990's style and ideas bc being able to fold the rear seats down did tend to work and have useful purposes

Dude...read all of your posts from the beginning of this thread until the end. You've been promoting $270 including shipping from the beginning. Seems like common sense to be when I see something higher than $270 ($280) that most likely tax is already rolled into the price. Then Chadd sends me the e-mail after the fact that no...he's going to charge tax (can't argue that...it's the law), but then where is the discount? With Everything35.com I could get the same exact part for the exact same price I'm paying now, $301 (including shipping).
What blows my mind is now that you post that, "oh no, it could never be below $280."
Bottomline...there is no benefit for anyone to buy this if you live in Cali. It works out to be the same price somewhere else that isn't on "discount." Defintely a deal if you live out of state.
And to make it clear, I'm not even annoyed at Chadd. He's just doing his job.
What I am annoyed is how you have promoted this GB, ttrank. You could have just broadcast that this GB is only worth it for out of staters...but hey...I'll acknowledge that's not your job and I'll share the responsibility of being naive enough to believe a senior poster whom I assumed had a better handle on product pricing negotiations than I would.
What I don't get is this. You live in Phoenix, you said you paid $268 shipped. So because you didn't pay tax the product was $253...as posted on the website. So you only paid $15 for shipping? And you're out of state?
I'm less than 50 miles away from Riverside...and I have to pay $26 for shipping. (I didn't ask for any special delivery)
So do you see my irritation? Not only do I have to pay tax when you don't (Well, that's life) but then I also have to pay more for shipping than you (and Chadd is roughly in the same area as me!).
It just doesn't add up.
BTW...since I wanted the part anyway...there is no point in returning it and its already on route to me. What goats me is the price changing on me after I have agreed to the purchase. That is not cool.

OK, I'm sorry I took all the time to set up this buy. I will make sure not to do that again.
I have only been "promoting" what Chad told me. When we did the Nismo kit group buy there was no tax for CA buyers that I know of and I told everyone about the tax the moment I found out. I CAN"T PROMOTE OR TELL EVERYONE SOMETHING I DON'T KNOW. I'm sorry it "blows your mind it could never be below $280" because it can't with tax! If out of state pays $278 then tax must be more than $2? Does that blow your mind?
I do agree that the price you were charged does not add up. I figured it out the first time very quickly in my head and it made sense but now that I looked up the Riverside tax rate and the shipping it looks like you were overcharged. Something is off and I'm sure if you go back to the source you paid instead of the guy in AZ who is hosting this for them, they can help make it right for you. But don't come on here and attack the guy who is just trying to help out everone by working to set this up. I'm not making a F**K**G thing off this deal except for helping others. I didn't even buy one, all I did was go on there and price it out. I was thinking about it but can't do it right now.

Yeah, the seats not folding down is stupid. I still don't get that.

Ku-Ling, the reason why your paying more now is just plain bad timing. The price on shipping has gone up. It has gone up even more, i just checked and everything shipped within california will now run you $318. From the shipping options it looks as chad has gone over to UPS shipping and UPS general cost more than fedex. Doesn't really matter if he did change over or not, it just plain bad timing and you got in on this deal when shipping prices were adjusted.

Watch out. Now that you replied this will be partly your fault and if I go down, I'm taking you with me!

eh, i've been down before, just gotta get back up
but if the pricing is really badd, i'd say just go and pick it up. i didn't want to deal with shipping costs again, so i jus took 2hrs out of my life and picked it up. maybe this will save you more money?
