Blue will get you pulled over by the cops. Stay away from bluish lights.

I switched out the amber and went Hyper White which is "blue-ish" in color. I had the blue and it was not my style. I bought my bulbs from NAPA
($6 for 2 pack). I also swithed out my license plate bulbs at the same time. It's a nice combo IMO. No cop problems here, but I don't live in Cali either.

Safer to run legal with amber bulbs.
Here is a night and day pic.

Also if you don't like the egg yolk effect of the the amber bulb in the clear lens, you can do the Silver Vision mod of lightly coating the bulb with high-temp silver spray paint. This worked great in my old Bimmer clear corners and now for the G. At night it glows amber like a regular bulb, but in the day time, you only see a white lens.

I got some PIAA that said they were amber but winded up more on the yellowish side. I like them better than the OEM amber color that came with the side markers.

Did you use the PIAA bulbs like they have here @ EveryThingG35? I've thinking about putting these in my clear corners. Has anyone had any luck with these?

I used PIAA PLASMA ION YELLOW bulbs in my clear corners. I also used them for my parking/clearance bulbs. Great look IMO.
