Been done. The 2003s had a mechanical fan. DaveO and Andycon have both converted to electric fans and claim ~5hp increase.

Yes, I would get on that ASAP.

Please post your dyno results. The results I've seen show more mid-range torque and horsepower than you indicate at peak(?)

Search around, there are some threads where people have done it and always seem to get good results. Making your car more effieient always gains power.

DaveO has never posted his dyno results. From what I've searched on this site, all his gains from the E-fan was via G-tech and the butt-dyno.

Recently there was another gentlemen that did a dyno with his e-fan conversion and the dyno results were inconclusive. I can post the think link if you wish.

Another mod the clueless one hasn't done that he's an expert on.

Amazing!

lol. Just like you have said in the past about pulleys and light weight flywheels. They do make a difference but they don't show on the dyno most of the time.

This mod does have gains that a dyno will not see, but people do see it when driving. EOD.

DaveB again posting other peoples data as his like usual. Until you do the test DaveB, then I suggest shut the **** up.

For once, can you debate like an adult instead of using foul language and derogatory remarks? No one wants to your flame-filled posts. Save the drama for another day. Be an adult. Let's have a debate.

You're going to have to explain this to me. How does a modification that reduces a parasitic loss not show up on the dyno? Putting 15lb lighter wheels will show power on a dyno. If the mod significantly reduces the engines parasistic loss, then you'll see gains on the dyno. From what I've seen from the dyno and 1/4 mile data we have for UDPs, flywheels, and E-fans, the gains are minimal at best (0-2whp). I've personnally tested the UDP in the 1/4 mile and on the dyno on my prior VQ. I know exactly what an UDP will do on a VQ and that would be squat. I've also seen the dyno and 1/4 mile data for a lightweight flywheel on the VQ30 and VQ35. Again, the data says squat.

Do the test for yourself and find out. Show us the data.

You can't have a normal debate DaveB. It's your way or nothing. That's why.

So by that rational, everyone must test every mod on their car to justify that it works? Interesting.
