Yeah it was quick but VRT takes a lot of time to do this stuff. Michael told me the best he could do is 3-4 weeks for a build and TT kit. I could not go that long without my car.

Tony at UMS has a spare short block we are going to start building for me once I get some of this stuff paid off.

Are they doing any drivertrain mods? I assume your VB and Tq converter are being upgraded but what about the AWD system? Plus I would like to know what pistons, rods, bearings, head studs, sleeves, and cams they are using.
Actually the rumors of 500hp isnt true; I'm sure it could hit those higher #s. This'll be my daily driver and my goals were for a AWD 400-450whp car. The engine build was overkill to keeep it 'safe'. So not much was done to AT or AWD system. Nor did i sleeve it or do cams. I'll get you the parts list.....

Still a 400-450 awd car will be one hell of a ride!
My car is a smoke show off the line as where yours will hook up very well.

Are you doing the JWT 530 or 700 kit?

Ed - I can tell you that VRT quotes ~$16k for a basic build and JWT 530 kit. I'm not sure what extra they would have to do for the X.

After this is all done I'll definately have to take the Mony out of sig!

I would say that i was the guinea pig so whoever takes their X to VRT should get lil' better pricing as theyre know more what to do.

also, did custom coilovers...

Did you say custom coilovers for the X? How much for the coilovers, as I am sure there are a bunch of people that would be interested.

G-Mony, Do you know if VRT is going to be selling the coilovers for the X or is this just a custom job? I am sure that their are a number of us X owners that would invest in this.

Wow, looks and sounds sick! I would love to fab up a kit for my X. Maybe in a few years.

For tranny upgrades, are they custom? Or do you upgrade the valvebodies, clutch packs, etc like auto ISs?

Talking

FINALLY GOT MY CAR!! So here is:

Street legal 400hp AWD G35x

Here's the parts on the build:

JWT TT BB530 kit
Pauter Rods
Arias 81 Low Compression Pistons
Port/polished Heads
Split Second Air/Fuel Controller
440 Plus injectors
VRT plenum
VRT strut tower brace
VRT adjustable coilovers
VRT front/back suspension control arms
VRT larger oilpan/cooler

Probably more stuff I missed....

Thanks to Michael@VRT! For those interested in g35x coilovers should be available for purchase and probably online soon. Also, I think they're gonna put together a g35x TT kit with the custom piping for sale soon too.....

Oh yah, btw, she drives like a dream!! Picked up car and had a fun drive back to SF Bayarea. Seems quieter since the drone from my Stillen catback is gone. Absolutely no lag...all 400hp to the wheels immediately w/o any wheel spin or VDC coming on.

UPDATE: 4/15/07
Looks like rear coilovers werent adjustable so no point in having just front adjustable. Went back to stock.

VRT yet to get me dyno to show and confirm 400hp. When i get car out of shop ill hopefully have a dyno.
