18/19 Rims set up

Has anyone put 18s in the front and 19s in the rear. I would like to see some pics if so.

Not that I have seen. If you want to keep your VDC working you would need to have the overall diameter be almost the same so the front tires would have way more sidewall than the rears and that looks like crap IMO.

Sure

It's not to say you can't do it but I just wanted to make sure you knew what you would need to keep the VDC.

I'm a big fan of 20's so IMO you should do those.

Hey does changing the size affect the calibrations of the tachometer, speedometer, mile counter, etc. ?

one time i had to do it to go to fresno.... right before heading out, did a visual inspection around the exterior and found out my right rear tires were low, or nearly flat.... found out it was due to a screw type nail.... i had the 19" M45 sitting waiting to be installed so i put a pair them for the rears... loaded the flat 18 sport rims into trunk to take to fresno to get it fixed....

hardly anybody noticed the difference... this is with oem sport 18's up front and m45 sport 19's rear... if they were all the same style, it may look okay... but like others have said, the vdc may be comprised due to the funky wheel sizing...

LOL this is funny. When I took my car in to get my wheels replaced I had already purchased my tires so I brought them to the wheel shop to have everything installed. I specifically told them to place the rear tires on the rear wheels. Same with the front. How about they ended up staggering the wheels correctly and staggering the tires in reverse. So I had 19 x 8.5 up front with 255/40's and 19 x 9.5 in rear with 255/35's. It looked really weird when I picked them up but I attributed it to the wheels being chrome and me just being used to my old set up. It took me making a left turn out of the shop and going nowhere fast to realize their fawk up. When you screw that VDC up these cars will go absolutely no where so be careful.

Considering the new Z track setup? It would look bad **** on the Sedan. If the offsets jive.

The VDC won't be that screwed up. There those that run coupe 19's for example. 225-45-19's in the front and 245-45-19's in the back. So the back wheels/tires are taller than the front wheels. If you got 18's in the front. 19's in the back then all you would have to do is run a smaller aspect ration (sidewall height) in the back to get the tire height the same. just calculate them out.

Tire width x aspect ratio (for example: .45 for 45 series) x 2 /25.4 +wheel diameter.

Some shops don't know crap. When i was in the market for new rear tires, Witch im in the market for again. I was having a prob b/c i wanted to have a thinner profile tire in the front then in the rear. But for the price the tires they were offering me i couldnt pass the deal up. Right now i have 245/40s in the front and 275/30s in the rear so my setup looks gay. But anyway. One of the guys brought up putting the 275s in the front and the 245s in the rear. Besides the fact that the 275s would not fit in the front, how stupid would that look?? Just goes to show you what theses guys will do to sell a set of tires.
