I would do a projector retrofit with S2000 or TSX projectors, get a set of ballasts and igniters and some good D2S bulbs.

I'm running Sylvania Silverstars in my headlights and foglights on my Explorer. They are definitely awesome but if you want HID like whiteness and brightness, you should get some OEM HIDs. But, if you don't want to spend that kind of money, I say definitely get some silverstars. You won't be disappointed.

If you want the oem HID's you will have to get new headlights. The non-HID have different bulbs and the reflectors are slightly different too. You can get an aftermarket HID kit but you may have problems with glare.

There is a new type of silver star out too. Well, two actually. They both give you more light and one is offered in a "blueish" color - to simulate hid. I doubt it's like all those other cheap HID-type replicas on the market.

I suggest you give those a try. Also, what kind of headlights are in the non-hid sedans? If they're 9005/9006, you can do a mod to the bulb to fit a 9005 (high beam) into the 9006 slot (low beam).

The non HID are H1's on top and still use a H4 for fog/hi.

It's an H4 but I believe a 9003 will also work.

H4 and 9003 are the same bulb. Just depends on what naming convention the maker of the bulbs used.

+1 on the silverstars. They are by far the best OEM wattage aftermarket bulbs i've used, they look pretty decent too. In the dark they look a nice clean white when sitting next to a amber side. I have them with the 9005 mod on all three of our accords.
