Welcome!

I'm rather new to the G35 as well. I went from a volvo850 T5-r , sold it, got a 2000 Toyota 4runner(hated it; sold it; payed for school) then had a beater 94 integra I got for 700 bucks. I fixed the body, got a nice job and traded the integra in towards my down payment for my G35.

I'm excited I got a 04 G35x with all the options navi.. stereo.. snow package.. yadda yadda...

Besides the obvious bolt-ons you can do; what options am I looking at if a decided to go NA? Keep in mind I wanna keep it mild.
Any comments on what brand I should look at when looking for cams?

Thanks for warm welcome. Me and wife (avid auto enthisiast as well) decided to concentrate on apperance mods as oppose to maxima where we did mostly performance mods.
The list is short right now:

1. Titns
2. Black headlights, black side markers and may be something with tail lights.
3. Grille (couldn't find a decent mesh grille for sedan yet, any advice would be great)
4. Avic-Z1+headrest tv's for children.
5. Since I already have a short ram I will put it in the car.
6. Rims.
7. Body kit.

I am sure something else will pop up but for now that's the list.

Great decision on starting with exterior mods! Debadge the "INFINITI" and leave the G35X emblem. The G has enough power stock so an intake would be fine. How about a wing/lip spoiler for the trunk?

Most definately de-badging. Spoiler is a good idea as well, I didn't think about it.

Hi Lacey, welcome to g35driver! Great to see more woman that are into cars like their husband. At first, i thought you used the same screen name as your husband, but i didn't see the "s" in there. I hope you two can agree on which mods to put on the car. (i.e. rims, tint %, etc....) Well at least both of you will enjoy the new car.

I like the Maxima. I think if it was just a bit cheaper then it would compete more fairly and Nissan would be able to sell more of them.

You can tell when you look at the Maxima that the styling will lend itself to becoming dated quite quickly. The G35 is virtually timeless, it will still look current and sleek for a least 5 more years. This is part of the reason infiniti is considered the Japanese BMW if you look at older 3 series they look current much longer than their competition.

thank you. we usually agree fully on everything
sorry about the confusion with the similar name. I figured once I have an avatar and a signature all would be well, but I see now I can't add them, lol.

Welcome and congrats!

Many here are previous Maxima owners and many never looked back.

Maximas are great cars and I loved my '01 AE, but driving my G is much more rewarding and after 3 years I still get that feeling I did the first day I picked it up.

Enjoy!
