Mesh Grill from Ebay!

I originally posted this in the UT grill thread, but since this isn't a UT grill, thought it best to stop using that one...so as I promised, here are the better pics of the Ebay grill I got for $139 ($99 +$40 S/H). Pretty good deal considering the UT grill is about $260 + S/H.

As I mentioned in the other thread, unlike any of of the other aftermarket grills, this one actually includes OEM style clips on the bottom that slide right into the existing bumper brackets, so it does not need double-sided tape. Not too bad!

The fitment isn't 100% perfect - it seems the left side doesn't match up as well as the right side (which seems to be almost perfect!), but its not too bad. I'm going to adjust my hood some more and be smart about the exact placement/mounting of the grill since there's room to adjust it. Hopefully I can get it fitting near perfect.

The mesh is a pretty solid metal too.

BTW, it's not painted yet...and no..that's not a fake license plate that I physically put on my car. It's just photoshop I did to cover my real license plate...thought I'd put a spin on the cover up techniques.

Glad to see you guys like it as is and yah, it's not painted yet...if I am going to go black...it will need to be painted gloss black. Currently it has a black primer finish on it. The other thing I was thinking was to go a dark gray (darker than DG - more like charcoal) or to match the dark gray of my wheels. But then my lower vents probably would need to match....forget it!

Thumbs up

Lookin nice man! After seeing these pics, I'm going to have to agree with the others. The grill looks just as good as is, since it matches the lower vents.

I think the grill looks awesome, but would look better if it was color matched and the mesh left alone black.

Looks very nice, fitment can't get better than that, espec. from ebay. If you ever decide to sell it, i got first dibs!

Glad to see everyone is okay with the fitment To be fair, there are gaps around it (hidden by the black color) so super picky people won't be happy. I saw Ttrank's UT grill in his posting and the fitment looked really good - maybe its just a hit or miss w/ the UT one?

The dilemma I've been facing these past couple weeks...to paint it black or color match??? decisions decisions!

And G35Dreamz...if I do decide to sell it...I'll make sure to give you dibs! I tried searching for more that this seller may have, but that was right after I bought this one. If anyone wants to try to get one, let me know and I'll post the ebayers name so you guys can email them. They're based in Hong Kong I believe.

By all means this is not a for sale thread. I'm sure RocketG35 will send me a pm if he decides to sell it. If the ebay seller has some more for sale it would be great and this thread with a proper link will be beneficial to others.
