Fog light only on.

I have a 2006 G35 Sedan. As we all know, in order to turn on the "fog" lights, the headlights have to be on. Is there a way to rewire the thing so that the fogs could be turned on without turning the headlights on???

KPTechnologies is working on their fog light module right now. Should be available by Feb 07.

This module is actually ready to go, we're just waiting on final testing of another module so we can release them at the same time (in conjunction with our updated website/order management system).

However, unfortunately, the initial release will ONLY work with coupes due to some wiring differences. Once we get the coupe version released we will see how much interest there is in a sedan version.

There's a 05-06 DG sedan running aruond the westwood/ucla area that I've seen where his fogs are on as DRL. It's pretty nice looking, lowered, front lip, black housing headlights and on some kind of stepped lip wheels.

The other option is to get a different switch and wire around the factory wires to control them. Not as clean as the KP module but you can do it now.

You need to be careful doing that, as your relay can backfeed through the IPDM and cause some problems. When you get a chance, start your car, turn on your head lights, turn on the OEM foglight switch, turn on your added switch, and then turn the ignition off. On my '04 coupe the car would continue to run because of the backfeeding until I shut off the fog lights. I'm not sure if the sedans are the same way, but it's something to look in to before it catches you off guard like it did me (at a gas station).

You can wire the NC contact of the relay to prevent this from happening, if it is a problem on the sedans.

True.

The only way I would wire around them is if I completely went around including new wire to the back of the headlight for the fog and a fused power source from the battery, relay, etc. That way there is no chance of it backfeeding to the BCM.
