infinitig20: Short stop-and-go trips are harder on the car than long highway trips. The engine doesn't get a chance to heat up and burn off fuel and water vapor that gets trapped in places it shouldn't be (such as the oil). In this case, low mileage is harder on the car than high-mileage highway driving. You'll want to change the oil every 3 months. In your case, a 15 mile drive is probably just enough to not be harsh on the car, so changing the oil every 6 months would be fine. You don't want to keep regular oil in there longer than 6 months, though. You might be a good candidate for synthetic oil to help extend your oil drains out to 6 months/1 year, since you drive so little. If you want to make sure, you can get an oil analysis done by www.blackstonelabs.com and see how your oil is holding up under your driving conditions.
