Quote: cant i just look for any wheels that are for the nissan z or older Gs as well? 19 inches is what i want with 8.5 front and 10 back.....would that look good? should i go wider? could i even find rims like the ones im describing used with tires for the 1500 range?
You can look for rims for the G35 Coupe and 350z there are a few that have offsets that would work with the sedan but most of those rims are running +20 thru+25 mm offsets and that just will stick out way too far on the sedan. As long as you stay close to the +35 and +45 range you'll be safe and there's alot of wheels in that range to choose. As far as 20's and 19's don't be surprised if you find that 20's are actually cheaper than 19's so it all depends on your tastes. I think 20's is the way to go with the 07.

Here is a good set of 3 piece HRE's that you can get for a steal but you will need to get new tires and possibly rechrome but they are HRE!!!

You said you liked Volks....with your budget, you won't be able to afford Volks unless you find a used set.

I agree with what Chico said. Take your time and look around. Narrow it down to a specific style, finish....blah blah.

there are too many variables when choosing the right offset. wheel width and tires are the two most important factors to consider. Having said that....you can have from a +30 to a +47 depending on the wheel width and tires.

like I said before, select a wheel you like within your budget and we'll help you with the fitment. Looking for a wheel based on offsets is doing it backwards IMO since there are multiple scenarios.

you mean MRR? the HR2 come in the right staggered set up for our G's. they are 8.5 +35 offset with 245/35/19 and 9.5 +45 offset with 275/30/19. they will be nice on the your G. The GT-1 are also nice but the rear come in 10" wide, but the offset is fine at +45 as well.

here are a couple of pics on a black GS to give you an idea.

Chico I found the MRR GT-1 in 8.5 X9.5 on eBay shipping is free eventhough the auction says it's 40 dollars he can get them in the correct offsett as well. Buy it now for 1899 so he would save 100 dollars over the quote he was given. The GT-1 has a 4 inch lip in the rear which is a good find considering the rear usually comes with 3in. I Also found some in 20" with falkens for another 150 dollars but that would be out of his budget

Quote: no chrome for me.....this is so hard...$%@#$ this sucks.. i am so lost with rims.. i dont know prices and sizes to fit my car correctly.. someone said 35 mm front and 45+ in the back ...but should i get 20s or 19s? ....also i have chromes parts on my car... if i got gold it wouldnt look weird?
Buying rims is one of the hardest mods to do to a car, it will either make or break your ride. In other words, choose careful, the wrong set will make a G look like an anus. Judging by this thread you are impatient and in a hurry. Definatley two things that don't go well with choosing rims. If you are stuck to your set amount to spend, maybe take some more time, save up another grand or two and get a set of wheels you will like.

I've rushed into buying wheels for a previous car, first was a new set, looked like crap on my car, second set was used and a spoke cracked (Konig Tantrums) about a year after having them on the car, and the third set was a big loss since I sold the car a few months later and the wheels looked bad on my G.

In other words, be patient.

Not to steal from your thread but here is what I am considering guys:

Volk Gt7's 19x8.5 and 19x9.6
Tires 245 35 and 275 30
Offset = +36 all around

Would these work? I have contacted various retailers and they all give me conflicting info. Some say +36 is too low and some even say I can't put a 9.5 in the back which I know to be false.
