Though I am a newbie here, I have lurked at my350z for a while and am certainly not new to the Internet

I'm on the fence between a G35 6MT sedan and a 350z ... I want a RWD 6MT car after years and years of FWD.

Aside from the practicalities of 2 seats vs 4, which car has lower maintenance costs? I don't mind paying $1200 for tires but not every 12 months. I was thinking that I could get a set of 18" summers for summer (duh) and 17" all-seasons for winter (I live in MD).

I'm just wondering how long tires last (I don't track my cars at all and do about 20k a year in mostly HWY driving).

I just have no idea what to expect in maintenance costs for the two different cars. My dad has a FX35 and loves it so I've got a good Infiniti dealer nearby that I trust should I go that route.

I'm not asking for which one I should buy but rather experience from different owners about their particular maintenance costs.

I'm looking at an '05 G35 sedan or '06 Z ... I know the Rev-up VQ isn't as "mod" friendly but I'm not a modder and since I see the interior far more than the exterior, the 03-05 Z interiors leave a little to be desired to me.
