BBK Installed

Spent yesterday insatlling my Racing Brake, OE BBK. Went with drilled and slotted fornt, and slotted rear rotors. Insatallation was pretty straight forward, although trimming the dust shield in the rear was a royal PIA. Car seems to stop slightly better, but haven't driven enough to really tell for sure. Will post more impressions after, I get a few more miles on these.

Haven't decided on rims yet. Leaning toward something in a gun metal or graphite color. Total for front, rear, and pads was about 1200 shipped. I will be painting the calipers red once it warms up.

Not sure how much the OEM stuff runs. I got all 4 13" rotors, brackets, and pads for that price. They are from Racing Brake (http://www.racingbrake.com/Default.asp).

Very nice. IMO, you are doing things in the right order. I have seen soooo many big rim upgrades with the little stock brakes. Bigger rims look rediculous without the brake upgrades. Nice going.

I noticed this kit doesn't come with the SS brake lines like others such as Stoptech. Noob question: what's the benefit of aftermarket lines and do the OEMs measure up?

you get better flow with the stainless you can feel it in the pedal when you apply the brake!
