It's not about the money, it's just that these vendors don't come through. How many lists have you put your name on only to find that the product won't hit production? I swear, these "manufacturers" are afraid of money! There are almost a dozen interest lists on the sedan forum alone for essentially the same product. It is clear that there are at least 30 2005+ sedan owners who want to purchase body kits if given the opportunity. It is NOT the responsibility of a customer to pay for a companies R&D (even though we do so regardless as it's in the price we pay for a product).

 

yeah yeah yeah, you're right Boris. But at this point, now that everyone else is gettin the front lip, i'll do anything i can to help push along the process so i can get something different, either that, or if i can get Eric to make the OEM lip in CF.

eric is legit and he will take care of you and refund you 100% if **** doesnt go through

btw, you guys also have to consider eric's point of view on this. he did a lot of work on making a lip for the 06 coupe sport bumper because everyone has been asking for it. but when it finally came out, only a few people bought it despite the high demand for it prior to its release. from what i can tell, it sounds like no one is buying the 06 coupe sport lip that he made and thus he lost money and time on it. i understand your guys' frustrations but from a business standpoint it's also understandable that he wants some sort of deposit to make sure this doesn't turn out like the 06 coupe sport lip.

I agree with the request for a deposit on this. It’s a valid request. There have been a few deals like this where people put down 20-30 names and then the product is ready and everyone disappears.

BUT I also agree with Boris that 95% or more of the threads like this never happen and we are stuck wanting stuff that will never get made.

There is another thread about this same front end right now. Is this a different guy or the same place? If it’s a different guy, and you want to get some of these sold, I would consider the risk of just starting to make them vs. the benefit of being the first one to market. It’s a risk that might pay off…

If this does happen, awesome! Maybe they will make one later for the 03/04 guys too. There are more and more of those getting into the hands of young guys who want to mod them and there is a market.

 

^^ Actually the outcome of the 06 lip turned out pretty bad.. As of now I'm STILL the only one with that lip.. infact I still havnt made a name for it yet lol.. theres quite a few other vendors carrying the lip around and only a few are sold every month.. its pretty bad.. and if remember correctly alot of people +20 signed up for it..

The fact is theres alot of guys that'll want to SEE this thing made and want pretty pictures of the outcome but completely forgetting the fact that this mold IS very expensive not to mention I have to purchase the authentic Kuruma Z Bumper first and have a down time for a vehicle that I'm still going to have to pay insurance for etc.. etc.. to make it simple.. All 15 buyers can pay full price and I still wont have enough to cover the start of this project...

So here it is guys.. this isnt going to happen if no body signs up.. I know you guys are tired of it but I'm sure no ones asked you for a deposit before.. You'll recieve a Invoice via E-Mail (.PDF File) after your deposit is made.. or if you even want more security I'm offering you guys a chance to pay via paypal were you can easily regain your money if you make a valid claim..
