calibrate a nissan/infiniti tachometer? I was just curious if others shared the same experienece. In drive, my auto will shift at the designated redline of 6600. But, If I am in manumatic then I can take it up to 7100-7200 without hitting the rev limiter. I have the oem ecu without any type of reflash. I am not suggesting that I do not have a rev limiter, just wanting to know if other auto drivers noticed the same on theirs even from different years. I know from experience in my old maxima that nissan has difficulty getting the tach correct in higher rpms. I have not purchased any type of obd software even though it is a future purchase or been on the rollers as that will happen shortly as well. Any relevant experience would be greatly appreciated.
Same things happens on my 05, i can take it up to about 7000 when the rev limiter hits. If i'm stomping on it in 'D' it'll shift right at redline.

I assume the ones with extended rev limiter of around a true 7100 are seeing a 7400-7500 on the gauge?

Yeah, mines been up there a few times in the 7400-7500 range, usually when I am in second or third gear passing and forget to shift because I am to busy looking around for cops Originally Posted by sloppymax
