6MT Clutch issue

Hey Guys I was wondering if this has happened to anyone of you before. I was driving home last night, not pushing it or anything and as I shifted from 1st to 2nd my clutch got stuck. I depressed it with my foot right away but I guess it wasn't fast enough to stop the clutch from burning. I could still smell it when I got in the car this morning. I have an 04 6MT with only 15,000 km and I would never expect to have this kind of problems at such a low mileage. What should I do? Should the master and slave cylinders be replaced? Thanks.

I have seen that happen many times before to other members. Seems way too early, I would have the dealer take a look at it.

thanks. Do you know where the master and slave cylinders are located. Ever since this happened I have this smell in the car and now I'm thinking that maybe the fluid from the cylinder(s) is leaking on the some hot section of the engine and burning.

This isn't an issue, it's a 'feature...'

Will the problems with the manual drivetrain be resolved in the 07? Who knows?

This happened to me when the car had 111 miles on it, turns out the cylinder fluid was leaking, got the clutch replaced. Haven't had any problems since
